Eh, this may apply for major things, but I've always found experience to be the best teacher for most of my day-to-day DIYs. There's nothing that YouTube can't teach you to do good enough and part of the fun comes from developing creative solutions from having the "wrong" tools.

This sub is supposed to be something I and my brother-in-law writing down for my daughter as something we give her when she is 18. Advices, thoughts, etc. if I could make this private, I would.
