Paragons of Virtue Arrested

It's time to name and shame the self-proclaimed paragons of virtue. Keep it civil, though.

Stories are about those who have been placed in positions of trust, and then abused that trust.

Feel free to add stories of the self-righteous from other walks of life.

New rule: With regard to stories of particularly, but not only, female teachers sexually assaulting students. Any comments similar to "where were they when I was in school" will earn you the right to find another forum.

meanwhile there are no repercussions for the app for allowing 15-year-old boys to sign up.

it doesn't allow it, it expressly forbids under 18s from signing up.

this guy probably set his age at 18 and then edited his profile text.

it's hard to hold apps accountable for people lying. if you had to, no one would post on the internet- most of it is lies!

The authorities posed as a 15 year old boy. Confusing first sentence but read it again. Maybe read the whole article (it’s about 20 sentences).

Upper Peninsula law enforcement agencies in an undercover operation posing as a 15-year-old boy on the dating app Grindr.

So they did a sting pretending to be a teenage boy and this guy and other people tried to go molest him. Basically a Chris Hansen operation.

And there shouldn’t be.

The last thing the world needs is everyone sending their drivers listen or other identification over to an American company to verify our age.

and why do you think that is the only possible solution?

Please inform me of what amazing solution you have to Internet age verification beyond ID?

Because as we’ve all discovered overt the past 30 years, ticking a box is simply theatre and the world would love to know your solution.

But what if they have to check a box AND type in their age?
