My favorite dichotomy is found on things like hurricane Helene posts. The same people who say humans aren't affecting the climate say the gov is manipulating the weather.
Am I the only one who found a message of “hope” in Idiocracy? We start at a future dystopia approaching human extinction caused by following some of the worst trends in current society. Then a savior appears, and they’re smart enough to actually follow him? They’re able to overcome some of their worst natures and start on the road to recovery.
That's how you could tell it was fiction.

And that's just counting the deaths directly attributed to COVID, with the CDC and a shitload of states playing "don't test, don't tell" plus the delayed deaths due to cardiac injury I'm betting the death numbers were closer to 5x reported.
And yet people never even talk about it now. No memorial, no day of remembrance, no lessons learned, just right back into the arms of the seditious traitor who killed more Americans than all of our wars combined.
Yeah but it's not like we could bomb the virus so what are we gonna do? We're Americans, after all, the only thing we can do is wage war. War on drugs, war on crime, war on poverty, war for independence, war to end slavery, war on Mexico, war on Spain.
