Maybe if cops didn’t break traffic laws all the time, civilians wouldn’t try to follow suit.
People in those kinds of positions of power should be leading by example, not running around like they’re above the law.

Could not have said it any better.
When it comes to following traffic laws and I see cop cars, firetrucks, ambulances, city transit, delivery trucks even. I would expert these individuals to be driving around as trained operator's and "expert's" and thus held to a higher standard.

Denying it ever happened is certainly an interesting tactic, especially considering the cruiser will almost certainly have a dash cam.

Jeremy Dewitt is the funniest serial offender of this. he's in prison now i believe, but there's soooo much body cam footage of him, he's pretty much a lolcow at this point.
Spent a whole evening watching these videos. Surprisingly common thing.
I know a guy that got white flashers on his truck. Turns out people will move aside for any color of flashing lights?
Thats part of the social contract. Its crappy that that person was abusing it.
We pulled people over with a yellow revolving light when we were dumb teens. Worked every time. We quickly got to scared to keep doing it.
