Yup. A small drop due to 2008 financial crash’s after effects. Then a steady rise back. And 2014-15-16 everything crumbles down.

Eh. Obviously not great and of course it will get worse but a scale from 5.2 to 5.6 is bound to look extreme in either direction.

I can kinda see how Mexico is a "hybrid regime." Its current president won with approximately 60% of the vote. Its federal government is enjoying unprecedented approval from its citizens. OTOH dozens of mayoral candidates have been assassinated by cartels over the past few years.

Surprised France is back to a full democracy, I remember it was demoted to flawed circa 2022 ? I don't feel like the recent political events here have improved our democracy lol

Spain is by definition an imperfect democracy. You don-t vote for people, but for party lists, so all the people in a list are bound to party rule.

That’s how the majority of non-english speaking democracies work.

Some argue that voting for partys that represent ideologies over specific personalities leads to healthier democracy.
