So what happened before and after the game between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ajax in #Amsterdam ?

There were some 3,000 Israeli #Maccabi fans in Amsterdam. From what I understand, a group (or groups) of those fans (not sure how large) was annoyed by Palestinian flags and decided that they should be torn down, and generally similarly misbehaved.

This pissed off people on the other side that decided to attack any Maccabi fan they can, or whatever.

From what I get, the anti-Israeli demonstrations were planned in advance, and were planned to be violent.

News reports in Israel hardly mention the provocations. They mention the attacks, and aid being sent to the Netherlands (a very odd narrative: Israelis are on their own and the Dutch don't do enough to help them).

For me, both actions are unacceptable. I expect people of both sides not to consider those misbehaving people as their heroes and champions. Those are the people who make things worse.
