Does anyone know of beginner friendly souls games? And I mean, hold my hand and pat my head levels of beginner. I absolutely adore the aesthetics in souls games, I would love to play them, but I'm in a place in my life where I can't focus on difficult games and I have no fun in conquering my frustration to beat the game into submission.

Is there a starting point, a game that has a low difficulty curve so I can take my sweet time building skills until I'm ready for big boy games?

My first experience was going in blind in Dark Souls 1, getting repeatedly destroyed by the first encounters, going NOPE!, and uninstalling (I was completely unaware the struggle was the entire point). I'm used to hack and slash, button mash, fast paced, low consequences for getting hit kind of games.

I'm stubborn and keep trying soulslike games in the hopes that one of them will be easier. So far I tried and failed to have fun with: Blasphemous, Death's Gambit, Grime, Moonscars. They're all 2D cause I can't pull the trigger on Elden Ring or Ghost of Tsushima, feels like a lot of money to spend on something I'm never going to play.

Edit: all of you are amazing, RIP my steam wishlist, but excited to give souls games another go!
