I live in an old house. My room is on the second floor. Each outlet on the second floor is not grounded. I tried fixing that by checking if there was a ground wire on some of the outlets. Long story short even if each ground wire is properly connected in the electrical box and in some outlet, still no ground on the second floor. My last option is to buy a 38-foot extension cord to connect to the only ground outlet in the entire house.

If I get a powerful enough extension cord, is it safe to plug it into my UPS and after that my PC ?

Thanks a lot!
