guys, if I have a 2k monitor and I plan to move to 4K with a really beefy GPU, is there a benefit to go for the Ryzen 7 9800x3d instead of other CPU? My main goal is gaming (zerobytes.monster)

Basically the title. I saw the reviews and the new CPU looks great, but if my main goal is definitely gaming, and I plan to get the 5090 when it's out, would other CPUs be actually better? I do care about the overall speed of the computer, but gaming takes priority for me. Any advice?
