Hi

I delided my i7 7700K and used liquid metal as the thermal compound. I overclocked to 5Ghz and have around 84°C in stress tests which is great. Very happy. It is in an NCASE M1 ITX.

I am just wondering why my idle temps sit around 50°C. I also have jumps to 60°C for a split second jumping back down immediately.

Before the delid the idle temps were about the same.

Should I just accept and move on with my life? :)

My previous i5 6600K sat at around 32°C idle with an overclock.
