If its for the "do X events" weekly: the EoD map Dragons End, has a minidungeon called "Trial of the Elders". You need a Jade Bot Mastery to enter and it containes a total of 8 very fast events (they count as events but give no loot/xp), they can be done in a group or solo (recommend power reaper for solo play).

Core content. But good to know for others. :D
Are you looking for a specific level? There is the Silverwastes farm that sounds a lot like what you are describing, the meta lasts about an hour before repeating all over again. It's level 80 though.
Funny how I never thought of Silverwastes. Not exactly what I'm looking at, but a good alternative that would make do. :) Thanks!
No worries! I don't really know of an event sequence that's both restricted to a small area and respawns quickly enough to really farm. Silverwastes is the closest I could think of. There's also the world boss train but that requires teleporting all over the place, so not really what you're looking for, but I'll mention it in case someone else is looking for farmable core content.
Not sure what level of content you're looking for and what reason, but I'll give it a go. The Heart of Thorns maps (apart from Dragon's Stand) all follow the "event chain" model. You can see the tower icons on the map to find where the event currently going is. After you complete a chain, there are normally a few more harder events afterwards. I'm not sure I'd consider them fast if the goal was just number of events. This is also true for the "mini zones" in the SotO maps. There's an event in Thunderhead Peaks (in one of the puzzle rooms) to kill 1 elite that can be spammed over and over again (easy way to finish the Return To achievement)
Sorry, I've forgotten to mention that I'm limited to core content. But others will probably benefit from your ideas.
Oh apologies! There are a lot of event chains all over the Orr maps (Southern Tyria). You can most likely run around those maps and constantly find events. The temple meats are chained events as well
Let's apologise together forever. :D
Orr is a good idea. Even if you don't do the entire chain there might be a few spots that have a few events spawn without the need to follow some NPC around half the map or something. Sadly no event map shows you the range of the chain.
