Does anyone have advice on an everyday carry bag that has a good spot to keep my M10 in while also being generally a good bag? I like to bring my camera around with me all the time, but I can't really find a bag that is both a general EDC bag for my laptop while also having a good spot for my camera.

I have previously used a peak design bag but I need to move away from a messenger style bag because of back pain.

Have you checked out Brevite's bags? They seems a bit more conventional compared to peak designs. What issue did you have with the peak design bag?

The backpack is a bit too rigid for me, I have trouble fitting what I need in it with how tight the laptop pocket is, along with the rigid insides.

The messenger was amazing, honestly best bag I've ever used, but it hurts my back so I'm looking for a more balanced alternative.

Thats fair, I have only ever used the peak design backpack so I don't have much to compare against. I have been looking into brevite bags for a more general backpack. so you might be interested in those.

Yeah, they actually dont look bad. I kinda want to get one and see if I the dividers can just wall off one corner for the camera, and leave the rest of the space for normal bag use.

Thats really the issue I'm finding, any bag that claims to carry a camera sacrifices ~half of its volume for little cubes to hold things.... I just want to carry a Leica M10 with a lens on it, thats it. I want to keep the rest of the bag as a bag. :(

I use a Filson 256 with a Billingham insert to carry two M2s, film, light meter, and an iPad. My MacBook Pro 16" will also fit, but it's a little tight. The Filson 257 has more room and would easily fit it all. It has been discontinued but easy to find used.

Wish I could use a shoulder bag but I can't. My back is the real issue here, so a backpack is kinda key since it's more balanced.

No problem. I have the opposite problem. A backpack kills my back, but I'm ok with a shoulder bag.
