it was 1 course of 9 :)
that actually makes me feel way better about your portion size! I’m sure the entire meal was phenomenal!
I'm curious about the total price tag of the meal. Wonder if it's more or less than a month's rent.
not this particular one, it was about $120 CAD
Oh not too bad for something this nice. Although I guess I don't know either the conversion rate or the Canadian food price scene.
I would consider this on the cheap side actually -- the very top end stuff tends to be $180-250+ but I think these would be considered fancy af, so $90 base with additions making it go to $120 is actually very reasonable. Main difference between the two would probably be the overall experience, probably something you're aware of from your own experience
No, I've never been anywhere this nice. I'm just trying to make a loose judgment based on what experience I do have. Probably why I half expected this to cost even more than what you were saying for the top end.
I only eat medium rare chicken meat
😱
that looks so yummy! what is that white swirly croissant-looking thing in the middle?
Looks like mashed potatoes to me
indeed, it's mash 👍
… I thought it was a sliced hard-boiled egg
looks beautiful!
A sad, single sprout. Looks tasty, though.
What is the cube thing in the upper left hand side? Looks like tofu to me but that's an unlikely pairing with steak and potatoes.
another cut of steak
Okay, that makes sense! Thanks
