It also bears remembering that Boudica’s rebellion also involved the mass slaughter of probably around 70,000 people. Not in battle, but in purposeful raids on unarmed civilians in Colchester and London as revenge for the Roman occupation.

@[email protected] it’s always a bit tricky to be certain about numbers when it comes to the ancient world, but a sizeable resistance makes sense to be worthy of being written in Roman sources, for sure.
