Proof? That's a pretty serious bug, if so.

Sorry did not think to screen grab it but the user was eePez or something like that. As soon as I saw what happened got the hell out because didn't want to screw up another persons account. Also had a small blue and orange picture beside his or her name
eePez? Maybe Spez??? DUDE!!!! YOU HACKED REDDIT!!!
Yea I wish otherwise I would bring the whole site down.
Something similar happened to me a few times recently, as I had just migrated instances and was swapping back and forth between accounts relatively often. I think it was that same username you just mentioned, because that sounds familiar. Only I do not think I was actually logged in as them. Just refreshing showed my actual account like normal. This was all on Thunder/Android.
I had this happen to my Angelfire account in 1997, logged in and I had access to someone else's crappy website. After that I stuck to Tripod.
Sucked because the hit counter on that page was huge, I was almost ready to take down my "under construction" gif
Well the hits start coming and they don't stop coming. You're under construction until you're ready to hit the ground running!
My username flashes as someone else's sometimes when loading or refreshing a page. I assumed it was a common glitch.
Interesting, I've never seen it happen on any instances I use
which browser and OS are you using? i haven't seen this yet with firefox, only not being logged in while it's loading
Chrome, Windows 10
Thats what I thought also. Then also thought if someone with a mean mind could do damage to the account.
What?
What client and platform are you on?
Currently on Firefox laptop when it happened. First time ever it happened just want to make sure people with mean intentions don't get the same glitch and then do something bad with the accout.
I'd this happened you should be posting to the Lemmy GitHub, not here.
They probably don't have a GitHub account
