I'm hooked (lemmy.world)

TM2 with a GVB J hook stem with a vgoodiez mouthpiece. Cools extremely well, and makes me feel like Gandalf.

Only complaint is that it gets hot at the bend, but that's expected. The real G move would be a U hook, but I don't know if I'm that showy.

I keep wanting to get a churchwarden pipe but it wouldn't fit into any of my smell proof containers.

If there's one person I want to feel like while getting medicated, it's Gandalf. Possibly also Cheech Marin.

I saw a mod recently involving a similar pipe but for use with the prrl neo. I think I saw it on FC.

Did you see the WPA on the Troy&Jerry show the other day? It doesn't look near as cool as yours, but it looks hella sturdy if yours ever breaks.

I have a few different stems, I don't have the exact WPA as featured on the Troy & Jerry show, but I do have one, and use it fairly often with a small shower head bubbler. It's great for ripping through a bowl in 2-5 hits without a cough (usually). Really terpy buds or back to back bowls increases coughing likelihood.

I'm considering picking up a recycled next. I hear there is better flavor and less chance of coughing.

I started my TM2 experience with the vgoodiez bundle. I have a 3D XL stem and bubbler as well. The 3D XL stem is a bit bulky for my taste, but it turns out to fix my DTV5 with silicone perfectly. I personally also enjoy the bubbler. I know some people don't like it, but that's probably because they are trying to rip it like a bong. I think it's a great halfway point between a session and a rip.

I'll add more pictures at a future date. I'm trying to trickle in more content and be the change I want to see in this community. I encourage others to share pictures of their gear.

Can you explain the reasons of going U hook instead of J hook? I only see downsides like holding the device upside down (so, holding from the U bend which gets hot?)

The heat will be hottest in the glass at first contact. In the J hook, in the photo it's right at the bend, which is where you'd naturally want to hold it it. I wrap my hand a little higher because of that.

With the U hook. I could hold it by the far side of the U.

Oh I see, thanks. I misread and thought the glass in the photos is a u-hook, this make sense now ^^
