My tickets were stolen ( transferred to a thief) from my Ticketmaster account. After 2 days ticketmaster returned them, but many other people have not been so lucky. They want you to think that the problem was on my end and yours, but the huge volume suggests that it is on their end, and if so, they are lying about accounts being safe following some recent hacks that the admitted to. Very soon after the tickets were stolen, on their website the chat bot was useless and would not connect me to a human. I then phoned customer service, who said fraud protection investigation would take 3 business days. Meanwhile, THEY had my stolen tickets up for resale on THEIR site. WTF. If they cannot immediately return stolen tickets, they should at least freeze them until they can investigate. I later learned that when told this, you should demand to talk to a supervisor. I then wrote complaints in their facebook page, which led to them offering to help 2 days later. Unfortunately a scammer impersonating customer support responded to me sooner in a fortunately unsuccessful phishing attempt. I also complained to the concert venue, which guaranteed that they would lake things right. I also complained to the artist, whose team also offered to make things right. I also complained to a ny tv station that has just done a story on ticketmaster ticket thefts. They continue to investigate. I told my story to 2 local tv stations which have not responded They returned my tickets after 2 days. I believe that all the complaining and public embarrassment on social media helped. I also joined a class action against Ticketmaster. I changed passwords again on Ticketmaster and my email, and cancelled the credit card that ticketmaster has for me. There is also a direct line posted in some messages for ticketmaster fraud support, but I did not keep it or use it. They should be honest about the extent of their breach, have 2 factor authentication for sales and transfers, and should immediately return stolen tickets or at least freeze them I hope that this helps other victims.
