Discussion about the hypothetical scenario of a zombie apocalypse.

Unless stated otherwise, by zombie we're refering to The Walking Dead -kind of undead creature.

Serious discussion only.

I mean, you aren't trying to survive for the sake of survival itself, right?

What do you do for recreation? To decompress or just to get your mind off the everyday struggle? Board games? Perhaps you've figured out a way to watch movies or listen to music? Is getting drunk or high too much of a risk?

Some would eat pudding. :P

Alcohol isn't going anywhere even in a post-apocalyptic world (whether people home brew or scavenge for old cans/bottles) but I'd guess people only really drink it in a secure setting behind walls.

For some communities if it's safe-ish with some sort of walls/boundaries they'll likely want to start gardening/planting things, that itself can be relaxing.

Porn?

Good food?

Music isn't hard to get actually, no real apocalypse would end up in destruction of everything, there will always be a PC or Smartphone of someone that downloaded all their music, there is still people loving vinyl and you technically don't need electricity to play them. Solar panels would still be a thing, wind turbines as well... The only apocalypse scenario that would end in absolutely no fun anymore is a nuclear war with 90% of humanity being dead

Hobbies are more important than ever, as gardening is not a weekend activity anymore but a survival need. Unless in a big community, knowing a little bit of everythong is more important than being super expert in one thing. So start learning about gardening, about carpentry, electronics, tailoring, study biographies of famous people to learn about leadership.

It will be harder to source good learning material, but books and offline resources will likely be available. At least you don't have to buy equipment if you have good looting sites.

You also have a whole world to explore! If you are careful you can explore places and have fun living in the wilderness
