Or better to say, copied from Path Of Exile...
Not even close, you absolute clown π
Have you even played any of these games before?
I don't really see where it's an exact copy of Diablo 3 since it's vastly different in class design and world design. It sounds like you just want a clone of Diablo 2 which I don't think would be as accessible to most players. Diablo 4 isn't perfect by any means but no, I am not disappointed with it.
Did you happen to play through the campaign? Just curious because some of your story concerns ...well it's hard to say without spoilers but let's just say Blizzard has already mentioned they are working on a couple of expansions. And we also know there is a whole other continent to explore.
I am definitely more on the casual player but have been pleasantly surprised with the amount of endgame content the game has launched with - it's certainly more than either 2 or 3 did. But I understand there are concerns about the grind from 70-100. I think it's off to a good start thought and it will be interesting to see how it develops over the years. D3 today is not the one that launched at all.
I'm still playing Diablo 2 resurrected, sunder charms are a godsend. Gives new life to the game.
I played some D2R when it first came out and I really enjoyed it but just fell off for no particular reason. Good to hear they are doing things like that despite what some of the purists might say.
What end game content is there? Running the same nightmare dungeons again and again? Don't get me wrong, I like the game. I played my necro.to 100; but praising it for the endgame content when there is exactly none, that's a bit rich. D2(r) is still the king.
Diablo 4 is my favorite of the series so far. The story, although not quite as good as D2, is quite excellent.
Also the game is very accessible while encouraging diversity, unlike D3. It has allowed me to play with my wife who typically doesn't play games like this. It is certainly not a clone of PoE, which is very difficult to break into.
I'm sorry that they didn't just make D2-2 but there is still D2 for you to play if you want to.
Its not a clone of PoE, but its pretty clear, they drawn a lots of inspiration from various elements of it...
Honestly, this all sounds like a difference in personal taste. You aren't missing anything, Blizzard just took a path that you aren't a fan of. It is disappointing when a franchise you like/see potential in goes a different direction than you'd like, but it happens sometimes.
The reviews of Diablo 2 versus 3 and 4 speak for themselves. It's not a personal preference. It's what the community wants, and the developers don't value user input at the end of the day. Were just sheep to them waiting to be harvested.
I mean that's true of any AAA dev company. As long as people continue to buy from them they don't care.
While I don't make games, I do write code. Usually it isn't the devs who are the problem. It's the project managers, sales, and C-suite execs who cause the issues here. Again, my experience. The devs could be shit as well, no idea.
Edit: added grammar
Just thankful for a non sarcastic and non-unnecessarily hostile response like I'd get on Reddit....hehe. valid points.
