It was pretty interesting at the time, how different the Wii version was from what got released on everything else. I've since played the remaster of the non-Wii version, and while both versions share a lot of the same plot points, the level designs and bosses were completely different. And, of course, the Wii version used pointer controls. I enjoyed them both, but sadly the Wii version is not something that you'll really be able to find anymore.

Well, at least it wasn't Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, which shared exactly one commonality (Yuri Lowenthal's voice).

I really liked that about games on different platforms beck then and in earlier years.
While it didn't always come together, I love the various takes on a single game.

I've seen plenty of people say how the Wii and 360/PS3 game are more or less identical and I have no clue where they are coming from...
I wonder if they are just regurgitating something they read before and never played both versions.
It's one of the only things that makes sense...

@[email protected] considering the horsepower of the Wii compared to the PS3 and Xbox360, going for cartoon caricatures of the cast was a good choice and the game is no less fun to play than its big brother counterparts.

Oh hang on, just read this it's easier... 😆

Out of curiosity, have you seen the new Ghostbusters film?
And if so, did you like it?

I've yet to see it myself and I'm a little apprehensive to be honest.

I adore the first one, as well as a the second one.
Went into the reboot with the mind set of "screw all those misogynistic losers who hate on it because all 4 are women".
But sadly, I ended up hating it for a ton of other reasons. 😔

Liked Afterlife quite a bit although it's not paced very well and is a very uneven film.

@[email protected] Quick recap, loved 1 & 2, enjoyed the 2016 reboot and loved Afterlife.

Frozen Empire is a lot of fun but maybe leans too hard on original cast cameos. (Maybe give them a rest now, go your own way.) James Acaster is criminally under-used.

Not quite as good as Afterlife but still very enjoyable for this biased Ghostbusters fan.

It makes me laugh that I learnt where most of the film was shot but I won't spoil anything.

Ah, I'll temper my expectations then.
I don't really mind the cameos, but I can understand that.

The best part of Afterfile for me was Mckenna Grace.
Absolutely brilliant take on Egon's granddaughter.

Heard that she gets pushed to the sidelines a bit in Frozen Empire, which kinda upsets me even before seeing the film...

@[email protected] @[email protected] The one thing I didn't like about Answer the Call was that, because 3-D was in fashion again, they did the thing-jumps-at-the-screen gag. Which, I only just realized, would have also been around in movies when the first one was released, but as a dying trend until IMAX.

Indeed, bustin makes me feel good. I played the PS3 version, which was also awesome.

I never finished that one actually.
I really need to pick up the PS4 remaster.

It feels like an extension of the movies, like if they never went out of business, but with more of a realistic comic feel than the cartoon.

@[email protected] I never knew about the Extreme Ghostbusters video games. Code Ecto-1 had a North American release, but the first one was only in Europe, it seems. But there was also a European only PS1 shooter-on-rails which worked with light guns in 2004... but without licensing the sounds and Garrett can kneel behind cover??
