Lmao holy shit

How in the hell does it have an HOA?

[-] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago

Probably property management fees associated with the building it's a part of. Just gets listed as "HOA" because that's the field that exists.

"$655 monthly HOA fee"

Hard no.

Jesus how depressing.

neighbors include Starbucks, United Market, Bank of America ATM, Redwood Credit Union, FedEx Kinko’s, Rite Aid, UPS Store, T-Mobile, Trader Joe’s, Jasmine Market, CVS, Peet’s Coffee. Because you now live in a strip mall.

I have many of the same neighbors but I just live in an apartment complex situated between 3 strip malls.

Honestly, other than the price and the parking situation, I've thought it would be kinda cool to lease a random shop in one of those shopping centers and just live in it lol

Just needs a club and you'd never need to leave the house.

Brings a while new meaning to "living at the office" ... also, something something work-life balance

I would do it, I mean the carpet sucks and the stock lighting is awful but the deck isn't bad, decent view of the slough. Basic amenities are serviceable. If I were a single guy and wanted to live in the area I'd consider it. The HOA fees are too much unless it comes with security.

Also I’m pretty sure you could be loud as fuck late at night and none of your neighbors would care.

$650 HOA? I don't even like my $35/month HOA.

How is this soul crushing? Looks similar to an apartment my friends rent in downtown Toronto but larger. Theirs is about 500 sqft with a similar looking deck. It's clean and looks well kept. You know what's soul crushing? Having to live in poorly managed gov't subsidized housing communities that are infested with bed bugs, ceilings dripping water everytime it rains, breathing in black mould, and nothing is being done about it even after media coverage.

I'd do this if it weren't so ridiculously overpriced. If the point of office-to-residential was to make housing more affordable by increasing supply, then this ain't working.
