Workers at Sega of America’s Burbank and Irvine, California, offices have voted to form the country’s fifth video game union and the largest multi-department union.

That's exciting. The larger these unions get, the easier it'll be for other other workers to feel encouraged to unionize themselves. It seems like this is the biggest one yet, at least in terms of cache - I hope this makes waves.

Good for the workers. Hopefully, Sega is willing to work with the new union instead of retaliating against it.

AEGIS-CWA is unique in that it represents worker interests across a broad range of disciplines. All of the video game unions in the US so far have been contained within QA, a department with a reputation across the industry of underpaying and overworking its workers.

That's really great.
