This manga is really great but its at risk of cancellation so people have banded together to purchase overseas copies to save it from cancellation. Even though its currently only available in Japanese people are buying the physical manga and reading it online in their native language.

Statement by the creator of the manga thanking for the support

Joke's on those fans I can read Japanese and bought two copies, including one for a friend. Save this fucking manga!

There is precedent for international fans keeping a series alive that isn't terribly popular in Japan. The one that comes to mind is Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf (source from a J Novel Club employee).

I was going to ask if this ever worked since at least with SJ doesn't matter how many westerners read on their app, it gets cancelled because of the japanese.

Yeah, different publishers are going to be more or less tolerant of a series that underperforms in the domestic market. The digital-only publications are probably much more able to accommodate that than the physical magazines.

That's actually the founder of JNC himself.

Haha, it's right there in the flair and I missed it. 🤦

I never even heard of this manga, but the art style sure is interesting.
