Like the title says, I see red numbers on the bell, I click the bell, then go through my notifications (my comment replies) then go back and the bell still shows the same red number of notifications as if I didn't attend them.

Edit: I'd need to click the double checkmark to mark them all as "read" even though the list is empty. Thanks

Thank you for confirming. :)

Yep this has been happening for me too

~~This seems to be fixed in the current beta~~ and I'm guessing a regular update will be out soon. Be aware that your settings may not be retained if you switch the beta, at least for me in an earlier build. Maybe that's fixed, but you may have to re-add things like user notes and blocked instances.

EDIT: Actually it's still an intermittent issue in 1.0.83.

Where do you get the beta? Play store? Or GitHub?

Just the Play Store I think. Here's the link to the announcement: https://lemmy.ca/post/1349163

Got it, thanks

So i had to ask this too. So there is a button at the top right, looks like an envelope, that removes all messages from the unread category and removes the notification

Actually, I just noticed this being an intermittent issue on 1.0.83. Sometimes it works fine and sometimes it just takes time to clear the notification, after viewing the reply, without manually marking messages read.
