Republicans are bad for working people. Republicans are bad for the rule of law. Republicans are bad for the economy. Republicans are bad for individual rights. Republicans are bad on foreign policy and defense. Republicans are bad for America. Heck, Republicans are even bad for Republicans.

Republicans have so masochistic shit going on. They don't mind hurting themselves as long as the people they dislike get hurt too. Evil cunts.
But they're good for the short term profits of the oligarchs. That's all they care about.
This is really no different from his assertion that NATO countries are somehow supposed to be paying "dues" or something, like a sort of mafia protection racket. He just speaks "stupid person" when the opportunity presents, any time the actual reality is a little on the complicated side and gives him some room to do so.
It was clear that Trump doesn't understand the concept when he was proclaiming in 2016 that "Mexico is going to pay for the wall".
Uh duh...
It's not uh duh for lots of folks, which is the root talking point.
Tariffs are seen as creating a vacuum that domestic producers will fill. The problem is it doesn't happen immediately, or ever. There's lots of additional conditions that all need to align for domestic business to fill the gap, outcompete, then survive beyond the tariff lifespan
I like tariffs to keep us closer to allies and farther from enemies. I wish we were a paragon of freedom and democracy and had no tariffs for any country that was reasonably the same, but the less democratic and the less individual rights then the higher the tariffs. oh except carbon tax as well but that should apply internally as well.
One thing I'll agree with y'all on: no tariffs! Tariffs bad, trade wars bad. It was bad when Trump did it, and it they're bad when Biden did it.
