But it’s ok to keep manufacturing them there and selling them abroad?

The updated radio frequency management regulations from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which come into effect on September 1, state that only three frequency bands will be recognised for mobile and portable wireless charging equipment: 100-148.5kHz, 6765-6795kHz, and 13553-13567kHz. In addition, rated transmission power shall not exceed 80W.

That sounds completely normal and not at all suspicious

They decided to break compatibility with the rest of the world. Stupid yeah, but what's there to be suspicious about?

I guess it would be sus if Huawei was using some charging frequencies that China was cool with, and this just so happened to only impact a lot of manufacturers that were outside of China.

But I don’t know if Huawei is or isn’t impacted. Finding frequencies in recent tech specs is kind of hard.

So what frequency do Huawei chargers use?

So no new QI2 chargers would be sellable in China? Since the frequency should be a immutable part of the standard this is surely the end of QI2 in China. Strange one for sure.
