Content should be articles, video essays, podcasts about topics relevant to the forum. No memes, single images or tweets/toots/... please!
Community rules:
Be respectful and civil with each other. Don't be a jerk. There is a real human being on the other side of your screen. See also the Blahaj.Zone Community Rules
No bigotry of any kind allowed. Making racist, sexist, trans-/homo-/queerphobic, otherwise demeaning and hateful comments is not ok. Disabilities and mental illnesses are not to be used as insults and should not be part of your comment unless speaking of your own or absolutely relevant.
No gatekeeping and being rude to people who don't agree with you. Leave “gamer” stereotypes out of your comment (e.g. sexless, neck bearded, teenaged, basement-dwelling, etc). Don't compare people to animals, or otherwise deny their humanity. Even if you think someone is the worst human on the planet, do not wish death or harm upon them.
No "justice porn". Posts regarding legal action and similar is allowed, but celebrating someone being harmed is not.

This includes “JAQing off”, intentionally asking leading questions while pretending to be a neutral party. This also applies to other forms of authoritarianism and authoritarian or criminal actions by liberal or leftist governments.
NSFW threads, such as ones discussing erotic art, pornography and sex work, must be tagged as such.
Moderators can take action even if none of the rules above are broken.

wtf?
if i have to keep reading more bullshit about twitter every goddamn day, then everyone also has to read me repeat myself:
DELETE TWITTER ALREADY
To make it worse, my kids school uses twitter. Both the school and the principal.
I get why they created the account in the first place, I just wish they would just move on, or at least add others (mastodon, bluesky, I don't even care right now) so that twitter can just achieve its full death rattle already.
our district does direct emails now. easier imho.
She's a celebrity, she probably felt like it was important for her job. And this story isn't about Twitter, it's about AI CP and how horribly creepy and harmful it is.
well she deleted it, so i wasn't addressing her specifically, but everyone who hasn't deleted it.
also, true, AI impersonation is a huge problem, but that doesn't mean the story isn't also about twitter and how shitty it is
lastly, "child porn" is the wrong term. it's child sexual abuse material, CSAM. porn is consensual, legal, and highly regulated. sexual abuse is none of those things
Yeah, it's way overdue to delete Twitter, but I also know far too many people who cling to it, providing one specious justification or another. I really don't know what still needs to happen in order for left-ish/progressive/queer/... people to finally get off of Twitter.
I thought i'd keep it just to occasionally open someone's feed, or in case Twitter changes hands again, but when they publicly reinstated multiple openly fascist people, that was the last drop. I deleted my shit immediately after that
Yeah, if anyone needed a clear sign where exTwitter's journey was going, that was it. It's the nazi bar now and people should not hang out there anymore.
It truly is. https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2024/8/27/2266073/-How-to-kill-your-tech-company-Elon-Musk-edition
They can't even moderate pictures of dead kids. It's a cess pool.
but it's the only place I can follow sex workers where they can post their titties for free. other than r*ddit
Does onlyfans not allow tits out on free-to-follow accounts?
There wasn't AI image generation when she was a teen, it was regular photoshop.
I'm guessing the photos she's referencing weren't edited back when she was still a teen, and that someone recently took the older photos and ran them through AI.
It says she received them when she was 14, 7 years ago. Not that it isn't a problem and that problem is definitely worse because of AI, it just to show that this has been happening a long time and that trying to blame it on AI when it happened 7 years ago is bad journalism.
In the original interview, she makes it clear that there several incidents and that the AI images she got were the last straw which convinced her to delete Twitter.
Yeah but if you put AI in the title anyways it gets more clicks and the AI stuff is also a problem so it all balances out ehhhhh
