Honestly I just wanted to read what Meredith was repeating

Meredith is saying she didn't read the book: Je (I in French) Nicht (not in German) Leí (read in Italian) Hon (book in Japanese)

Meredith is such a slacker. If she put half the energy into reading as she learnung 4 languages and how to float in the air while projecting hoary necromagic from her orifices, she would be able to participate in the conversation.

IDK, I feel like she might have put just a teeny bit too much effort into reading.

Meh! The english translation sucks. It took me five whole chapters before even start crying blood. Way better the original arab edition from al-Azif Press.

"cosmic horror... is a subgenre of horror fiction and weird fiction that emphasizes the horror of the unknowable and incomprehensible more than gore or other elements of shock... themes of cosmic dread, forbidden and dangerous knowledge, madness, non-human influences on humanity, religion and superstition, fate and inevitability, and the risks associated with scientific discoveries... the sense that ordinary life is a thin shell over a reality that is so alien and abstract in comparison that merely contemplating it would damage the sanity of the ordinary person, insignificance and powerlessness at the cosmic scale..."
