Over night I had a LOT of reports come in about a crash. I have fixed these issues and this version is now live on both the App Store and TestFlight.

Please keep sending that information in! Thanks!

Not sure where to ask this, would it be possible to implement a feature where blocking communities could be done from the feed?

Right now you have to open the community itself and load more content to be able to block it. Sorry if there’s a right place for this and this isn’t it.

Awesome! Two things I’ve noticed about that build:

  1. NSFW posts weren’t being hidden, even if turning Hide off an them back on;

  2. My crash happened (ironically) when: a. Entered search b. Searched for iosbeta in Communities c. Entered [email protected] d. Exited immediately for [email protected] (which has very few subs, so I’ve returned to the lemmy.ml one) e. Went back to the first iosbeta community f. Memmy crashes

Are you able to reproduce the NSFW issue on posts that you know are marked correctly? Obviously a lot of things don’t get marked unfortunately. If you can reproduce though, I’ll look into it.

And yea, I realized what was going on. It’s some bad logic on my end I stilll need to rewrite but I’ve resolved the issue with a temporary hack for now. I’ll have it improved later today.

It’s so great to have direct contact with the developer! I must say the work that has been done on Memmy is amazing. Yes, the post was correctly tagged as NSFW (it was even blurred). Appears to be gone for now

Oh! Actually just seen one. Sent a feedback with screenshot attached through TestFlight

I am still unable to login on Memmy after updating. Logging into Lemmy.world webpage is working however

Same for me on Lemmy.ca

I ran into an interesting issue on both this build and the last. I was logged in ok and could see posts, but if I tapped on the profile button, I got an error message about not being able to find that user or email address. I finally realized it was related to the instance server address and case sensitivity.

Lemmy.world = error when tapping profile button lemmy.world = no error when tapping profile button

But both allow me to log in and see posts. Anyway, just FYI. Love the app!

Edit: it's this bug https://lemmy.world/post/1406970

Oh interesting. I’ll fix that. Thanks.

Are we ok to update if we use Lemmy.world now? There’s a post on the lemmyworld community saying the update to 0.18.2 has fixed the login issues now

Yea everything should be fine now.

Awesome, thanks!

Thanks. I’m on TF. Notifications don’t seems to be working anymore. They are successfully enabled. Perhaps it has something to do with the being logged out bug recently? I had to delete and logging my account so many times like everyone else. Could that have caused notifications not to work?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Yea let me look into it and I’ll get back to you.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Thanks for the great work and replying to my previous comment. Unfortunately I still am not getting notifications for my world account. Is this a widespread issue? It’s not a big issue to be honest anyway. Thank you so much.

Wow thanks for the fast reply! You’re awesome.

No longer crashing for me when searching and tapping on communities. Thanks for such a quick fix!

Why there is no choice to select lemmy.word to log in?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

You can log in to Lemmy.world just by selecting “Log In” and entering that as the server. I removed it from the list for now because they have been having a lot of issues and it’s likely off-putting to new users to try and register with the first option but experience a bunch of problems.

I think things are fixed up now though so I’ll probably add it back soon.
