I was struggling to play CSGO on my Macbook Pro M1 for a long time. But yesterday I realized that the game is running like 70-80 fps on every resolution from the lowest (960x600) to the absurdly high ones (i don’t remember the exact numbers but they were very high like 3000x2000). That was the time i realized that the problem is not the Macbook. Not even Valve for bad optimization. It was the retina display.

I asked my brother to give me his ASUS monitor to test my theory, and yep. It is the retina display. I did everything, tried everything. Even the apps like Better Display but no luck.

Now I’m typing this while playing CSGO with that monitor, smoothly. And thr thing is, on the retina screen the fps was shown the same with the ASUS monitor. But now the stutter is gone with 0 lag.

(I will try to add videoproof but it is working for sure)

I hope it helps, now I’m going back to game or they will kick me lol
