There is nothing standard about that level of cuteness.

You're right, my bad

She looks like she's greatly worried about something important. Like she wants you to do something greatly important.

I guess this election cycle has been hard on us all.

I don't normally have the windows open when it's raining outside. She apparently is concerned by the sound of rain 🤣

I love!! Is this one a Russian Blue?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Yes she is, I actually didn't know that until you said something.

Looks like a mix to me, maybe at least half russian blue. Mine are half russian blue half american shorthair.

So, you don't really know. You could get a test done.

I mean, I guess not, but based on the pictures she looks exactly like a Russian blue.

Russian Blues are not the only cats with a blue coat, or that look quite like that. I'm just saying you shouldn't assume if you don't actually know. There are pet DNA testing services if you really would like to know.

I don't care that much, lol. She's my friend. That's all I need to know.

The only real upside of knowing, imho, is knowing any associated health risks of that breed. But you shouldn't assume for exactly the same reason - if you tell a vet they are a Russian Blue when they are not, it could lead to incorrect assumptions (as an example)

She's listed as a grey short-hair to the vet. Definitely not a Russian blue after I looked up all the breeds of grey cats. I've narrowed it down to two for what it's worth just based on appearance.
