Beans are delicious, nutritious, cheap, and easy to prepare. Highly recommended.

soak overnight and ditch the soak water to reduce the gassyness (dissolves some of the undigestable sugars in the seed coat)
Pressure cooker
dry beans are way cheaper than canned, and prep time for dried beans is substantially faster with a pressure cooker compared to conventional stovetop. (I love my Instant Pot!)

This is exactly why it is so hard to quit YouTube. I'm happy my alternative works again after a recent update. Haven't found better life tutorials anywhere else.
