Wanted one, but we couldn't afford it.

Just like the spiral of square post-it notes, the small bags of various chips, the multi color pens, brand name pogs, the pencils that were color on the inside so they looked cool when you sharpened them, and the neon index cards.

It's weird that these went out of style. I assume that a generation later than mine was so full of unlovable children, that parents stopped buying Trapper Keepers. I can't think of another explanation.

My younger brother had one. They weren't around yet when I was in school.
