Hey everyone!

Just a heads up that the sale on Bean Pro Lifetime will be ending tomorrow, 31st August 2023. The price will be rising to $49.99 so if you were thinking of picking it up at the 40% discount, now is your last chance (for a while)!

I also want to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to everyone that has supported me in the last couple of weeks. It’s been a extremely overwhelming to see people subscribing to Bean Pro, leaving reviews, or spreading the word about the app.

I made Bean for me and it’s so cool to see other people using it too!

Messaging should be coming next week, but I’ll be taking some time this weekend to knock off some of the smaller issues like automatic theme switching and layout issues in the composer on some devices.

Thanks for the great app Steve. I subscribed as soon as I downloaded. I know lifetime subs aren’t for everyone, but I really appreciate you giving the option to NOT need to have a monthly subscription

Thanks to you from all of us as well for a great way to browse Lemmy!

My 14 and 10 year olds actually think Lemmy is called “Bean.” I haven’t bothered to correct them. ;)

Just bought mine. Thanks for the honest heads up.

I'm fairly new to iOS so I might be an idiot.

But I don't see a lifetime option. I originally subscribed to monthly, which has another couple of weeks left on it.

I tried to cancel my monthly plan to see if it then appeared, but I only see monthly and yearly. Do you know if theres something I can do to get the lifetime option to show?

Oh that’s an oversight on my part! I presumed that Apple’s subscription system would allow you to switch to lifetime but it looks like it’s just between monthly and annually.

I’ll push an update to allow you to should your sub be cancelled later today or tomorrow.

Can you try clicking this link in Bean? It should bring up the Pro screen to allow you to purchase.

Thanks that does allow the options to come up, but the lifetime price is shown as £49.99, unless the promo has already ended?

It shouldn’t have! It looks like App Store Connect changes the pricing sooner than I expected. I’ve set it back to the promo pricing which should be reflected in app soon.

Sorry about that!

It's a bit odd because it says 40% off but that's not reflected in the price or apple pay screen heh

I installed bean on my Mac and the option was shown there, very weird! Appreciate all your time and effort on this!

Looking forward to more updates :)

I’m in, thanks for all the hard work!

Thanks Steve. Bean has been more than worth the lifetime purchase. Looking forward to more updates!

I jumped straight on the lifetime option as soon as I could. Bean is superb and continues to be a joy to use. I try out other apps out of interest but Bean is my go-to Lemmy app.
