Republican Sen. Jim Inhofe, a conservative firebrand known for his strong support of defense spending and his denial that human activity is responsible for the bulk of climate change, has died. He was 89.

Inhofe, a powerful fixture in Oklahoma politics for over six decades, died Tuesday morning after he had a stroke over the July Fourth holiday, his family said in a statement.

Inhofe, who was elected to a fifth Senate term in 2020, stepped down in early 2023.

That snowball you brought to the Senate floor won’t help you now that you’re in hell Jim.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago

I expected a snowball joke, but you nailed it. Bravo.

His denial of climate change evidenced by his holding of a snowball on the congressional floor in winter was the moment I realized that memes are now more important than facts.

That was him? Rest in piss

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Suprisingly he was the only Republican to take long covid seriously. Because he got it.

“It only matters when it affects me” is the republican mantra I guess.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago

Always has been.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago

Time to go throw a snowball on his grave and laugh

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 months ago

Fuck this guy. Left the world worst before dying.

That is the problem with the impending disaster. All the people who could do something about it wont be here when it arrives. Its not like they care about their children. I've discovered to care about your childrens fate is a rare thing in people 60 and above. Most of them had it too easy. Being born and raised in a golden age.

I often wonder when a conservative asshole dies after a lifetime of doing conservative asshole things, does anyone really miss them? Like I imagine his family does not care much for him. Nothing will be named after him, I can't imagine what, being as anti science and education as can be.

He was a terrible person and I'm glad he's dead..

Step 1: vote against COVID vaccine distribution funding

Step 2: get COVID

Step 3: retire due to long COVID

Step 4: die from long COVID

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 months ago

As an Oklahoman that loves his state. Rest in piss fuck face

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 months ago

Pieces of shit like this make me wish hell was real.

You're a traitor to country and all of humanity; the world became a slightly better place when you died. I hope your final moments were as agonizing as the policies you supported.

Good riddance.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 months ago

You shouldn't say anything about the dead unless it's good. So, he's dead. Good.

He lived a long and happy life selling our country to giant corporations.

And nothing of value was lost!

Oklahoma man honored to finally be metabolized into various greenhouse gases

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Ohh good another fucking moron that gets to die off and leave us with the consequences of his actions.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago

This is the true reality. There is no karma.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago

Hope they built him a tomb big enough to take all his bribes with him for fucking up our future

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago

Good riddance

It's really sad to think that the highlight of this guy's career was that he DIDN'T choose to commit treason. He was one of the very few Republican senators to actually certify the election results in 2020.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago

That just highlights what a circus the GOP is.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago

I remember him for blocking aid to Hurricane Sandy victims. When I suggested someone reciprocate and block aid to tornado victims in Oklahoma on reddit, I got down voted to hell.

If I wasn't so lazy, I'd shit on Imhofe's grave.

Strokes are FAKE! I've never seen one! He probably died after having a GAY SEX ORGY!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago

How dare you insult the good name of gay sex orgies by implying that they'd let this asshole participate.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 4 months ago (1 children)

A dead republican is very rarely bad news.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Only when someone worse takes their place.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 months ago

Considering that he stepped down in 2023, they've already replaced him.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I can only hope Death hasn't left D.C. yet, but is just sharpening his scythe. In particular, there are a couple presidential candidates who are rotting on the vine.

Needs to take out the entire project 2025 team, all servers, anyone ever involved. Tabula rasa.
