Hi, just looking for suggestions for sub 12 inch laptops, I got a very poorly running Acer Aspire ONE recently but still enjoying my time with it despite the fact it can't even play a youtube video.

Edit: No budget or requirements besides being small, can be new or old as well. Mainly interested in good linux support.

You didn't state your budget and requirements. GPD Pocket, maybe?

Along the same lines, WIN 2? I have one and I love it for what it is.

Edited post Didn't think of those, no budget or requirements just gathering opinions. My only real interest is good linux support

It's a 12.5 inch device:

Star Labs' StarLite

Linux support should be excellent.

Though, unfortunately, Star Labs' reputation regarding communicating delivery times for their products leaves a lot to desire.

Still, it's worth a look if you're not particularly in a hurry.

I have a Pixel C that none of the Linux distros support. So I'm running one of the OSS Android distros, but it's still fucking Android.

I'd love to find as nice a combo - great build, small size (10" screen), detachable yet integrated keyboard - that runs Linux. Sounds a lot like what you're looking for.

I think there are 11” Dell XPSes. I've owned a couple of those, and they're pretty good, and they have great Linux support if that's your thing.

Yeah actually that is basically what I am looking for besides doesn't need touchscreen or removable keyboard but those are nice

I love that Pixel C. Except it's showing its age; battery life is starting to stink, and I can't get Linux on it. Even with whatever I have on it - Lineage or something - it still struggles with performance, which got progressively worse with each Android version upgrade.

Well, I'll be watching your post to see if you get any good suggestions. You're definitely in tablet space, whether you need to be or not.

I have a HP Mini311, 11.6", it has a dedicated Nvidia GPU that can decode video in HW, in VLC but not YouTube I think... It's an old slow atom 32bits too ☹️ but works with MX.
