I'm trying to make a signature dessert I can float around at potlucks/get togethers that combine my two favorite desserts: cheesecake and cinnamon rolls. I know I can go the mini cheesecake with cinnamon swirl route, but I was thinking about making it extra special by making a mochi with those two. I was thinking about these possibilities:

1.) Butter mochi (no coconut milk) with a cinnamon swirl and cheesecake topping 2.) Cheesecake mochi with a cinnamon swirl baked into it

I'm not sure if I should take a butter mochi recipe and just shove an 8oz package of cream cheese in it to see if it'll work, or it I should replace some ingredients with the cream cheese. Or if that's a good idea.

Any suggestions would be great! Even if it's a totally different idea than this mochi thing, I just want a signature dessert lol

You could make a small thin cinnamon roll “cookie” and then do a cinnamon swirl cheesecake on top of the cookie
