You realize NSFW stands for Not Safe For Work, and that most of us read that as basically be careful opening in public, yeah? A number of people have quite conservative bosses that probably wouldn't appreciate someone looking at even slightly risque images in the workplace, or sitting next to someone on public transit that might cause a stink.

It's just a common courtesy.
