There was a lot of branches and minor lines featured in this map, which have since been dismantled:

  • Klang-Kuala Selangor
  • Ipoh-Tronoh
  • Tapah-Teluk Anson (Teluk Intan)
  • Taiping-Port Weld (Kuala Sepetang)
  • Kuang-Batu Arang-Batang Berjuntai
  • Salak Selatan-Sultan Street-Ampang (now taken over by Ampang LRT)
  • Tampin-Melaka
  • Bahau-Kuala Pilah

Also shown are a lot of proposed routes that never got built

The community logo is based on the coat of arms of the Federated Malay States? It combines all the colours from the flags of the constituent states:

  • Perak: White, yellow, black
  • Selangor: Red, yellow
  • Pahang: White, black
  • Negeri Sembilan: Yellow, red, black

The FMS coat of arms would eventually evolve into the coat of arms of Malaysia, with the FMS colours forming the core of the blazon.
