As somebody that read a good portion of the manga and then dropped it, I actually have enjoyed this show more than I thought I would going into it. The visual style (the manga's greatest strength) has been adapted well and the studio has delivered on some fantastic action sequences through the first season.
One thing I am wary of is that it is not too long after the Jade arc (the story arc that is wrapping up the first season) that I dropped the manga. The story just became jumbled and I had a hard time following things, so I just dropped it. I will be curious to see if they do any condensing or streamlining of the story in the anime adaptation.
