If you like Lovecraft, but you're over tentacle man, check out Dream Cycle. It's still surreal, cosmic horror, but it's much more tangible, and a LOT happens.
Also, points to Wendigoon for talking about Lovecraft in a realistic way. A lot of people point out that he's racist, but not a lot of people know how that effected his iconic works.
