Absolutely hate the fearmongering over the nuclear waste water from Japan. It's fucking fine. It's super diluted and it's cleaner than even just water in normal operation. All this posturing China is doing is gonna set nuclear power back several decades.

What a glorious photo!!!

Pushing through Friday at work before we go camping for the weekend, woohoo! I hope I've got reception to watch the game though...

That’s amazing I’m so excited for you! It’s cool if you don’t have reception too. It’s good to mentally check out sometimes.

The picture: ikr hahaha. I searched “Wenger beach” for the sexy Wenger pose and found this along with it.

Yeah either way it'll be 2 days with the phone off, but I'll make an exception for my boys, since I'm also not the only gunner on the trip! I absolutely need to switch off for a bit, work's been insane.

Hahahahahaha that is golden. He looks so youthful here.

I've been to both Old Trafford and the Emirates this week.

Enjoyed scoffing at the United fans outside OT. Then went to London and had a blast during the Emirates Stadium tour. Got a signed Ødegaard picture, this season's home top, an Arsenal bottle, an Arsenal mug, a cool little coin, and a keyring. Also visited the museum at the back, the new Wenger statue, and then walked around and through the Highbury apartments. What an amazing experience, I'm so thrilled that I got over to see it all.

I wonder how long Brighton will keep up their form. They'll crush West Ham, not so sure about Newcastle, but it would be great to see them humble United. They might be on their way to establishing themselves as a top-6 side for the foreseeable future with their sales and development.

They can beat most sides comfortably, especially if they are at home. I would like to see them beat Newcastle.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Oh, I'd be thrilled to see them take points off of the rest of the top half, and maybe/hopefully stumble a bit once they start getting deeper into Europe.

It's lost in the excitement of the prem, but I'm keen for the WSL to start in a months time. I only caught one or two games last year but Steph Catley and Caitlin Foord bossing it for my national team have me psyched to watch a hell of a lot more this year.

This fooking club man.

@hangonasecond @throbbingpens it's going to be a fun season. Ilestedt looks to be a great addition, and we know how good Russo was last season. Plus, Viv and Beth are set to return at some point.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I maintain that they shoulda stuck Ilestedt up top for the third place game, or at least gave her the pen, so that we'd have a centre back with a golden boot

Now that's the dream hahahaha. She was so close to nabbing the award at the world cup too. I would've accepted Australia losing by another extra goal just for the meme.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I mean that too, but I feel like Australia didn't deserve to concede more lol

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

100%, we deserved to knock England out and win the whole lot 😉

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Fingers crossed we get a breakout season for Hurtig.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

I can't wait either. We should be back to full strength in no time

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

I was hopeful that Cooney-Cross would join the Arse, but seems like she’s heading to west London 😭

Sanchez back at Inter. I miss him.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I love how good he was for us and how shit he was for Man Utd.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

And how he immediately wanted to come back lol.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Love that Bellerin is helping take a stand against Rubiales. This is exactly why I didn't want Spain to win.

@Astrealix @throbbingpens he is? I'm not surprised as it's Heccy, but am not aware he said anything.

(edit) ah, I see he's one of the players who've said they won't make themselves available for the men's team. Good for them.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

He’s said (originally in Spanish):

"It's truly embarrassing what is happening. From representing our country with that vulgarity, to distorting statements from the victim and above all blaming her and playing the victim after commuting an abuse, acts that can't go unpunished for. Football is a social tool that should allow us to move forward and progress, machismo should have no place there."

“The narcissist never believes they have made a mistake, they are able to lie, manipulate the truth & make the victim guilty in order to retain their power over others"

A friend of mine recommended the episode of Strange Planet about footorb and it's a delight.

Flying back to NYC around this time next week, and I can't wait. Hong Kong has been mildly disappointing but more importantly I feel like I've overstayed lol. Most everyone I care about is no longer around :P

In Across The Spiderverse, Spider-Punk is voiced by Daniel Kaluuya who is a Gooner and they both are from Camden. So I'm also claiming Spider-Punk for us. Haha.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Beautiful. Spider-punk is one of us now.

Also that movie is amazing.
