Help me with a suggestion or two for a case. I’m planning an Asus W680 full ATX build as an all-in-one virtualization/ ML/NAS server. I’d like room for 6x LFF drives and a full sized GPU (seeing just shy of 360mm for several 4090 makes).
I looked at the Fractal R7 as a safe/obvious choice, but per the specs, it won’t both GPU and LFF at the same time. That leaves the XL variant but it seems truly enormous.
Budget is ~$350, looking for something with good dust filtration, prefer sound dampening to full mesh, don’t care about the aesthetic but value flexibility to change the layout in the future.
A 4U option would be great, but I think that’s impossible given my rack has 21” of useable depth. Any suggestion for rack mount would be amazing though.
Otherwise looking for any pick that supports a 3.5” + GPU layout that preferably isn’t the size of a window.
The Lian 011D XL is measurably smaller than the Fractal XL, but unclear from the specs if it can do both the LFF and GPU simultaneously.
