Training is more important than whether you carry chambered or not.

I would argue both are important. Particularly as your other hand may be busy fending off your attacker; cocking a gun one-handed is not easy. Also ups the total capacity of the firearm by +1, which for small single stacks is a pretty large increase.

I totally agree. I carry chambered myself. But the meme is more about the people who haven't even thought about it and just repeat what they've been told to believe.

Frankly, when I first realized how fast your draw to first shot could be even unchambered, I seriously considered switching. And I think everyone should consider it, instead of knee jerk ridiculing unchambered carry.

Its ridiculed not because its a totally ineffective way to carry, its a fine way to carry. But theres just no reason to do it over OITC. The fear of a sudden discharge while holstered is unfounded for reliable carry brands/lines (M&P, Glock, FN, etc).
