He may have disabled his own token in advance to avoid charges? That's what I would have done in his scenario.
Yeah, he said this is what he was going to do. Delete the api token.

I think he mentioned that the app stopped working before the deadline, and then he deleted the token at that point. So Reddit disabled his app early because they’re assholes.
