Basically my parents would love half the stuff I recommend, but they can't focus to save their lives. Always playing word games, getting up and down to go to the kitchen, randomly talking about other stuff. They like series that they don't have to pay attention to, that are more real-life, not too boring. Movies or series recommendations welcome. No sci-fi or fantasy, no extreme violence in the beginning.
- Favourites they just mentioned (Netflix et al):
Bosche
Longmire
Grey's Anatomy
Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman
Doc Martin
Firefly Lane
Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul (these are definitely outliers - but they liked them enough to pay attention to it amazingly)
White Lotus (same as breaking bad - they couldn't look away so they loved it)
Grace & Frankie
The Guardian
New Amsterdam
At Home in Medford
Schitt's Creek
Heartland
- My recommendations that didn't work out:
Lupin
The Crown
The Good Place
Jane the Virgin
Emily in Paris
Essentially, everything ever that I know they'll like, recommend, and then they give up before the first episode is done. Now I know what it was like to raise me as a child lol.
