Original Title: Hello! I have a couple of questions: How are Hungarians outside of Hungary (such as the Szekely in Romania, Hungarians in Slovakia, and those in Serbia) viewed and treated? Is there xenophobia and are they seens as "real" Hungarians?
I have witnessed a couple of instances where Hungarians exhibit strong xenophobia towards ethnic Hungarians living outside of Hungary. I remember it being something about Szekelys and Orban. What is the primary criticism directed towards Hungarians living beyond Hungary's borders?
I am also observing a trend in the Central/Southeastern European region, even among Croats and Serbs, where ethnic Croats/Serbs in neighbouring nations are being denied their ethnicity and are somewhat regarded as more "primitive".
Could this be due to the fact that diasporic communities tend to be more conservative, religious, and tribal, thereby creating a reaction from population with more left-leaning viewpoints?
Thanks in advance! Hopefully, i didnt ask something controversial or rude, as it was not my intention.
