He's going on the Bill Walton journey except after UCLA, it just skips the good part and goes straight to the debilitating, lifelong leg injuries. At this point, I don't even care if he gets his '86. I just hope he can walk without too much pain.

It's been pretty widely known for months that he wasn't playing this season. I think the real headline here would be that he feels like he's "on track" after this most recent surgery, whatever that means. Bulls were reportedly concerned that he would never play again, and that he was mostly just getting this surgery as a quality of life improvement. But maybe he feel like he's on track to play again someday? Who knows.
That 21-22 Bulls team just seemed to play so we'll together before his injury. It's really a shame it got cut short.
