I don’t have any games worth more than maybe $130 at most (MGS 3DS) but I bought when it was dirt cheap. I’ve never focused my collection on getting the rare stuff, moreso games that I enjoy wholeheartedly amongst a few game lots I’ve purchased over the years. I was always self conscious of my collection because I don’t have anything crazy like a copy of Kuon for PS2. Then I realized, I’d probably never want to play the game anyways, so why buy it?

What does collecting mean to you? Do you do it for the “nest egg” or do you do it simply because you like a console, and how has it affected your collection?
