My iHome from 2008 finally lost a stereo channel, so I thought I could get a newer one at BestBuy only to find that they were steadily disappearing, notably in popularity as well.

What I found instead were the JBL's - and please excuse me audiophiles, as this whole experience is the very essence of 'living under a rock', I am aware. The store models weren't too loud (really noisy store in New York), and some speakers were more blasted than others so there wasn't a fair judgement for me to make. I've tried doing my research on google and older Reddit posts, and combined with the store experience, found myself drawn to the

Charge 5, Flip 6, and Xtreme 3.

I like to listen to delicate noise/asmr based music, and I know that for popular commercial speakers, bass and volume are usually the big sell - but I'm looking for sharp quality and good balance. And I don't care much for portability. I keep seeing people insist on each of these three , and I'm not sure what to think. My vague impression of xtreme 3 was that it sounded fuller, but again, I wasn't in a great environment for it. Flip 6 seems hyped for exceeding expectations despite its size. And then Charge 5 just keeps getting mentioned as a favorite.

I live in a quiet bedroom and listen to a ton of music. I'm a sensitive synesthete so quality and balance mean a lot to me (I love to dig into those textures). Between these three which should I get? Or is there a better option I'm unaware of due to my under-rock-living...

Thanks guys:)
